Le Creuset, known for its colorful enameled cast iron cookware, introduces a new cast iron rice cooker: a versatile new pot that you can use every day to prepare almost any type of food.

Inside the cast iron body is an additional ceramic lid that can be removed so that the pot can be used as a normal pot.

The round curved base, deep body and dome lid are designed to create a triple effect to maximize heat convection for even baking results. The inner ceramic lid has two vents that allow steam to escape during cooking to remove the extra moisture needed to cook the rice, while the cast iron maintains even heat as the rice cooks, creating good steam circulation for maximum flavor.

The interior of the Cocotte Every is covered with a special Le Creuset satin black enamel finish. Very durable and easy to clean, the inner surface with black satin enamel is specially designed to protect the pan (no pre-treatment required) and to use a large amount of surface heat. It's not a non-stick surface, but it behaves that way over time as the surface develops a natural patina that's perfect for browning and baking.

If you are using a cast iron pot on a ceramic or halogen stove, never drag it across the stove, but lift it up.
Dishes with plastic or metal parts can be placed in the oven. The maximum temperature that plastic parts can withstand is up to +200 degrees (heat level 6 for gas). Do not use wooden pots in the oven.
Allow the pot to cool before washing, then wash in warm water and rinse. If the dish needs to be washed more thoroughly, soak it in warm water for 10-15 minutes, use a nylon cleaning cloth, avoid abrasive cleaning agents and steel sponges.
Always dry the pot immediately after washing. Do not leave to dry or keep moist in the cupboard.
Suitable for use on all types of cookers, including induction cookers and ovens.
